The death occurred peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown, on Wednesday, December 5, 2018, of Bennett Doucette, beloved husband of Mary Doucette (nee Gauthier), and son of the late Edward Andrew and Louise (Peters) Doucette, of North Rustico, aged 87. He was the loving father of Kim (Brian, deceased), Karen and Kerry (Brian Adams); grandfather of Stephanie, Steven, Brad, Christopher and Ashleigh; and great-grandfather of Charlotte, Samantha, Jackson and Jordan. Bennett is also survived by his special niece, Shanna Doucette; and brother, Donnie. Besides his parents, Bennett was predeceased by his brothers Reggie, Vernon, Lloyd and Billy. Resting at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow for visitation Friday, December 7, 2018, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel, on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. Interment in Stella Maris Cemetery, North Rustico.
