Johnina ‘Nina’ Arlene (Fukala) Winstanley

It is with heavy hearts that we, the family, announce the passing of Nina Winstanley, age 72, on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Gilday) Fukala.
In her younger years, she enjoyed skating, dancing and picking blue berries. Nina was employed with the Modern Building Cleaners until her retirement.
Nina is survived by her brother, John (Patti) Fukala, Sydney River, Corrine (Ken) McDonald, Cambridge, ON, and Paula McInnis, Reserve Mines, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Reg Winstanley and sister, Johanna Woodruff.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday December 12, 2018 at T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay, NS (902-849-4199).
Donations may be made to a charity of choice. The family would like to thank Dr. Gordon Spencer, for all his care over the years, thank you to her life time friend and neighbour Laurentia; thanks to the neighbours at the complex, Bobby, Michael and Steve.
