It is with profound sadness that we, the family of Andrew Raymond Conron, announce his passing on December 7, 2018 at the New Waterford Consolidated Hospital, New Waterford, after a lengthy illness. Ray was the son of the late Andrew and Rita (Young) Conron.
In his early years, Ray served in Germany with Nato, he was later employed with Devco until his retirement in 1984. He was a member of the New Waterford Salvation Army Men’s Fellowship Group.
Ray is survived by his devoted wife of 35 years, Leona (Bramwell) Conron; sons, Raymond (Vickie), James (Linda), Andrew, Gary (Jen), Mark (Alice), Gregory (Cathy); daughters, Andrea (Todd), Raylene (Denny), Rachelle (Mike); many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Michael (Dinah) as well as nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brother, Ernest Conron.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Salvation Army Citadel, Union Street, Glace Bay, NS with Major Rocky Bishop officiating.
