Aged 87
Passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital on Friday, December 7th, 2018 Mr. Lorenzo Roberts Mercer of Clarke’s Beach. Leaving to mourn his wife Hazel (Nippard), son Keith Mercer (Cynthia) of St. Philips, sister Frieda Ryan, step-sons Roger Nippard (Marilyn) of Calgary, Paul Nippard (Denise) of Buffalo, David Nippard (Joy) of Paradise and step-daughters Debbie Clifford of Peterbourgh, and Cavelle Dove (Peter) of Yangon, Mynamar, sisters-in-law Grace Mercer of Bay Roberts and Ruth Mercer of Bay Roberts plus 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Lorenzo was predeceased by his wife Laura Elizabeth (Betty nee Squires) parents William Ralph (Dorothy) Mercer, brothers William Mercer (Mildred), Wilfred Mercer (Grace), Glenville Mercer (Ruth), Ronald Mercer, Fredrick Mercer, and sisters Gracie Mercer, Rachel Greene (Kitchener), and Mabel Dempsey (Thomas). Visitation to be held at Moore’s Funeral Home in Bay Roberts on Sunday, December 9th, 2-5 pm, 7-9 pm, and Monday 10-12 noon followed by a life celebration at the Bay Roberts Central United Church at 1 pm. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Canadian Bible Society.
