Passed peacefully away at the age of 87, Wallace J. Ryan, well known grocer and businessman. Mr. Ryan is predeceased by his parents John J. and Amelia (Westcott) Ryan and brothers Ron, John, Austin, and sons Michael and David. Leaving to mourn his wife Margaret (Butler) and seven children Gerard (Roxanne), Robert (Evelyn), Wallace, Jeff, Lesley, Liza, Ruth Ann (Martin), from his first marriage to Ruth (Kavanagh), his brother Aidan (Vera) and sister-in-law Marie Ryan of Thornhill, Ontario. Fondly remembered by his grandchildren Kali, Hannah, Zachery, Jessica, Leslie, Stephanie, Stephan, Alex, Mackenzie, Morgan, 10 great-grandchildren, and many nephews, nieces, and friends. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Tiffany Village for their wonderful care and kind attention they gave Mr. Ryan. In lieu of flowers or donations, the family asks that you do a good deed for someone today. Mr. Ryan was a very generous man and would have loved to see that spirit of giving shared with as many people as possible. A Celebration of the life of Wallace J. Ryan will be held on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at Caul’s Funeral Home on LeMarchant Road in St. John’s.
