It is with great sadness that the family of Darrell Joseph Collier announces his passing, which occurred on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at the Health Sciences Centre in St John’s, Newfoundland. Born on January 24, 1967 at the Camp Boggy Hospital in Bay d’Espoir. He was the son of Edmund Collier and Rose (Coleman) Collier. Darrell spent 25 plus years working in multiple lines of business and as a successful consultant in the IT sector. He also had a great passion for politics on both the Provincial and Federal level. He loved the outdoors and hunting, watching the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox, but his biggest passion was ice fishing. He was also no stranger to a game of cards while at the cabin. However, his biggest accomplishment in life was his three children whom he loved dearly. Darrell is survived by his wife Roxanne (Priddle), daughter Victoria (Cody) and sons Alex and Jackson; sister Geneva (Danny) Kearley Head Bay d’ Espoir NL; brother Edmund (Janice) Collier, Rothesay, NB; nieces Danielle (Glen) and Morgan; nephews James (Sacha) and Logan; great-nephews Luke and Jamison; great-niece Lucy as well as many uncles, aunts and cousins. Family and friends are welcomed to visit his parents’ house on Dec. 26 from 1-5 pm at 12 Lower Townsite, Milltown, NL. A service will be held at St Ignatius Catholic Church in St Alban’s at 3 pm, December 27th followed by a reception at his parents. In addition, there will be a Memorial Service to celebrate Darrell’s life in St. John’s, Newfoundland on January 5th, 2019. Time and Venue to be announced at a later date.
