It is with great sadness that we, the family of Shirlee Jollie, 79, announce her passing on December 23, 2018 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital surround by her family. Born in Truro, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Lillian MacKenzie.
Shirlee was a nurse for 30 plus years at the New Waterford Consolidated Hospital and the Cape Breton Hospital. She loved to play poker with friends and especially loved to spend time with her beloved dog Gracee.
She is survived by her son, Randy (Gladys), Truro and brother, Jackie (Annie), British Columbia.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Junior, and sisters, Joan and Helen.
Cremation has taken place. A chapel service will be held on December 28, 2018 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Deacon Leo Penny officiating. Burial in Mount Carmel Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of McLellan Brothers Funeral Home, 3183 Plummer Ave., New Waterford, 902-862-7500.
