Passed peacefully away on December 29th, 2018 at the Caribou Memorial Veterans Pavilion at the age of 88 years. Predeceased by parents Percy and Rebecca Howell, sister Jean Oldford, brother-in-law Don Oldford, wife Sheila Howell, and brother-in-law John Mulcahy. Leaving behind with fond and loving memories his son Scott Howell (Melissa), daughter Sherri Stuebing (Devin), brother Earl Howell (Sheila), grandchildren Isabella and Riley Stuebing, sister-in-law Elenor Mulcahy (Gerry), as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A special thank you to the nursing staff and doctors at the Caribou Memorial Veterans Pavilion for their loving care. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Monday, December 31st and on Tuesday, January 1st from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will take place from Barrett’s Memorial Chapel on Thursday, January 3rd at 2 pm with burial to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flowers are graciously accepted, or donations can be made in his memory to the Guards Athletic Association.
