George Thomas Forward age 79, of Trenton, passed away on December 21, 2018 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in New Glasgow he was a son of the late Dawe and Laura (Russell) Forward.
George was a resident of Trenton all of his life. He was a former employee of Trenton Works and Maritime Steel where he worked as a welder.
He is survived by his daughter Janice (John) MacMillan, daughter-in-law Lori Forward, grandchildren Bailey Koehoorn, Isaac Koehoorn, Daniel Dickson, Ashley Forward, Emily Forward, brothers Vic (Sharon) Forward, Art Forward, sisters Marilyn (David) Croke, Jean Forrest and Donna Fitzgerald, chosen family Walter Smith, Delbert Smith and Robin Alexander.
He was predeceased by a son Brian, brothers Charles, Gordon, sisters Aileen, Doris and Lyda.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 5, 2019 from 1 -2:30 pm in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Burial will be in Lorne Street Cemetery, New Glasgow at a later date. Donations in his memory may be made to the Aberdeen Palliative Care Society.
