It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Francis (Frank) Newman announce his passing at the Palliative Care Unit of Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Sunday, December 30, 2018 at the age of 62 years. He leaves to mourn his partner of 21 years Olive Hedderson; daughter Kelly Hedderson; his siblings: Margaret Hicks (Pat), Bride Parsons (Norm), Isabell Howell (Rod), Joseph Newman (Sophie); Clarence Newman (Sharon), Anthony Newman (Florence); his nieces and nephews: Gerald Hicks (Janice), Julia Aldred (Bill), Stephanie Newman, Angie Newman (Bill), Sarah O’Brien (Nick), Jim Parsons (Lorilee), David Parsons (Kerry), Mark Newman (Laurie), and Marie MacNeill (Jeff); and very close friend Fred Perry, as well as a large circles of other relatives and friends. Frank was predeceased by his parents William and Anne Newman, and by his nephew Scott Howell. A visitation for family and friends will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 from the hours of 7 to 9 pm and Thursday, January 3, 2019 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. A funeral service will be held from Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, January 4, 2019 at 10:00am with Father Edward Terry officiating. Interment is to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. By request, there are no flowers, in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
