It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gladys nee (Phillips) Fjeld, late of Birch Hills, SK. Gladys passed away peacefully on December 31, 2018 at the Jubilee Lodge in Kinistino, SK. She was born on May 28, 1913 to parents Charles and Margaret Phillips, in the New England District, SK. Gladys will be lovingly remembered by her sons: Don (Deloris) Fjeld of Birch Hills, SK, Bruce (Iris) Fjeld of Birch Hills, SK and Boyd (Charlotte) Fjeld of Summerland, BC; her daughter-in-law: Ann Fjeld of Kelowna, BC; her grandchildren: Darren Fjeld of Edmonton, AB, Pam (Dyana) Fjeld of Kelowna, BC, Delary Munroe of Birch Hills, SK, Jeff (Claudia) Holland of Cantonment, Florida, Brandon (Brandi) Fjeld of Sherwood Park, AB, Cory Fjeld of Birch Hills, SK, Derek (Rochelle) Fjeld of Birch Hills, SK, Sheridan (Tammy) Fjeld of Saskatoon, SK, Aaron Perry of Calgary, AB and Regan Perry of Summerland, BC; her great-grandchildren: David, Jon, Ben, Catie, Andres, Max, Markel (Michele), Jaelynne, Lacey, Beau, Sianna and Greta; her great-great-grandchildren: Milani and Maryn; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Gladys was predeceased by her husband: Raymond Fjeld; her son: Gerry Fjeld; her parents: Margaret and Charles Phillips; her siblings: Florence (Eivind) Swenson, Gordon (Olis) Phillips, Jean (Don) Currie and Ada (Harold) Arens; her brother & sisters-in-law: Arnold Fjeld, Pearl Atcheson and Mabel Hesje; and her parents-in-law: Halvor and Josephine Fjeld. A Funeral Service will be held for Gladys on Saturday January 5, 2019 at 2:00pm at the Birch Hills Lutheran Church located in Birch Hills, SK. Internment will follow the service at Winton Cemetery. A special thanks to all the staff at Jubilee Lodge in Kinistino for their tremendous care of Mom these past couple years.
