It is with heavy hearts that we, the family, announce the passing of Allan Jones on January 4, 2019 at the Glace Bay Hospital, Glace Bay with his family by his side.
Born in Glace Bay he was the son of the late Charles and Elsie Jones.
Allan enjoyed baseball and hockey, he was an avid Toronto Maple Leaf’s Fan, he enjoyed listening and playing music. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him
Allan is survived by his wife of 40 years, Regie (Boutilier) Jones; his sons, Troy (Tanya), Stephen (Melissa) both of Glace Bay, Mark (Nicole), Hinton, Alberta; 10 grandchildren; sisters, Bertha, Charlotte (Roger); sisters-in-law, Kay, Cheryl, Elaine (Allan), Dolena, Jackie and Leslie (Blair); brothers-in-law, Billy and Stevie; his best buddy, Cheeko; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Byron Jones and sister, Alice Bodhanie.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held 12-1 p.m. Thursday, January 10, 2019 with a service to follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Melvin Wheaton officiating, at T. J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay, NS (902-849-4199). Burial at a later date.
The family would like to the thank Dr. James MacLean, nurses and staff of the Glace Bay Hospital for all your care and compassion given to Allan.
