Brandon James Plichie, age 28 passed away Monday, January 7, 2019 in Glace Bay.
Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of Tyrone and Gerri (Burte) Plichie.
Brandon was employed with the Hudson Bay Company and enjoyed very much working with his co-workers; he will be dearly missed by them. He had a great passion for the outdoors. Some of his hobbies included mountain biking, dirt biking, skate boarding, exercising and going out on his ATV.
In his younger years he really enjoyed playing basketball. Brandon will be remembered as a happy go lucky young man who was very compassionate.
Besides his parents, Brandon is survived by his two brothers, Anthony (Katie), Shane (Erica); grandmother, Isabel Burte; his two nephews, Larkin and Colston; several cousins, uncles and aunts.
Brandon was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Roy and Mellie (Bates) Plichie and maternal grandfather, Jim Burte.
A special thank you to his close friends, Kirk, Mitchell and Matt for their part in bringing Brandon home to rest.
Cremation has taken place. There will be a visitation only with a light lunch being served during the wake from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay on Sunday, January 13, 2019. Interment will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
