LÉGER, RITA - Rita Léger, 78, of Notre-Dame, passed away suddenly at her residence on Sunday May 29, 2011. Born in Moncton on June 27, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Pierre and Edith (Saulnier) Gallant. She is survived by two sons: Gilles (Claire) of Moncton and Gerald (Linda Jean) of Langley, BC; five sisters: Dora Collette (late Alphonse) and Corinne Melanson (late Ernest), both of Saint-Philippe, Thérèse Robichaud (late Gérard) of Dieppe, Jeannette Caissie (late Alyre) and Gloria LeBlanc (late Alphée), both of Moncton; six grandchildren: Amanda (Mathieu), Sandra, Annika, Max, Joey and Patrick; four great-grandchildren: Jessika, Kayla, Joshaw and Mikey as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Lionel, her daughter, Annette; one grandson, Jacques; her sister and brothers: Marie, Édouard, Fred, Arthur, Gérard and Hector.
The family will receive condolences at Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur R.C. Church Slumber Room in Notre-Dame. Visiting hours Wednesday, June 1st from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday, from 2 until time of mass. The funeral mass will be celebrated from the Notre-Dame Church on Thursday, June 2 at 4 p.m. In memory of Rita, a donation to the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
