Howatt- The death occurred peacefully just a few miles from where he was born and raised, surrounded by his family on Thursday, January 10th, of Sheldon Earle Howatt, aged 93 years. His true passion was working the land on his family farm in Tryon. He was the son of the late Heath and Elsie (Stordy) Howatt. Loved by his wife Marion (Leard) Howatt, his two children Vicki (David) Francis and Scott Howatt, (Priscilla Giroux); his eight grandchildren; Jessica (Steven) Reeves, Chelsea (Paul) Feehan, Brett (Keshia) Francis, Mallory (Kirk) MacKinnon, Cameron Francis, Todd Howatt, Jenny Shea Howatt, Elsa Mae Howatt and his nine great grandchildren; Luke, Bella Mae, Lyla, Nash, Helene, Florence, Felix, Nate and Molly. Also survived by his three sisters, Roma MacKay, Ferne MacLeod and Imogene (Jack) MacDonald. Predeceased by his younger brother Harleigh (Camella) Howatt, brothers-in-law John MacKay and Allistair MacLeod. Visitation will be held on Saturday, 12th, at the South Shore United Church, Tryon, from 2:00-3:00 p.m. followed by the Funeral at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, if so wished, memorial donations to the South Shore United Church or the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
