Martin Joseph Poirier passed away peacefully at the Prince County Hospital in Summerside on January 14th from brain cancer. He was born on July 15th, 1960 to parents Gerald Poirier and Adeline Poirier (maiden name Caissie). He enjoyed raising geese, ducks, and chickens and was a champion waterfowl breeder for many years. He is survived by his three children, Matthew, Michelle, and Brian Poirier. His former wife Cynthia Poirier. His two grandchildren, Emma and Elizabeth Poirier. His five siblings, Agnes Arsenault, Alfred Poirier, Theodore Poirier, Marcella Poirier, and Melvin Poirier. He is survived by many cousins, nephews, and nieces and other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and sister Paulette Poirier. A time of gathering will be held on Wednesday January 16th at the Evangeline Funeral Home from 2-4 and 7-9.
