Mildred (Millie) Catherine Young (nee Parsons) of Bell Island. Passed peacefully on January 20, 2019 at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, St. John’s, surrounded by her family. Beloved wife of Gerald (Gandy) Young. Daughter of Bride Parsons (nee Murray of Carbonear) and Jim Parsons of Bell Island, stepfather Richard Littlejohn. Predeceased by her son Jimmy Young (Elizabeth). Survived by her daughters, Christine Martin, Patricia Young, Jean Bursey (Jack), Marilyn Cummings (Paul), Lorraine Kavanagh (Joe), Diane Morgan (Arthur), Geraldine Skanes (Geoffrey), 18 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Sadly missed by her sisters, stepbrother and many friends. Waking at Pendergast Funeral Home, Quigleys Line, Bell Island on Wednesday, January 23 and Thursday January 24 from 12-4PM and 7-9PM. Funeral service at Saint Michael’s Church, Bell Island at 2pm, Friday January 25 with interment to follow at St. Michael's Cemetery, Bell Island.
