The death occurred peacefully, surrounded by family, at Prince County Hospital Summerside, on Sunday January 20, 2019 of Joyce L. Stewart of Spring Valley, aged 76 years. Born in Darnley on May 27, 1942 daughter of the late Edgar and Ethel (Folland) Champion and daughter-in-law of the late Bruce and Enid (Ramsay) Stewart. She leaves to mourn her loving husband of 60 years Kenneth B. Stewart and their children Donnie and Stephen (Julia) Stewart. Nanny of Nicholas Stewart (Jennifer), Jeffrey (Erin) Stewart, Sinead (Dave) Sissons, Stephanie Stewart (Tyler), Mitchell Stewart, Marissa Stewart and many great grandchildren. Also survived by sisters of Hilda Graham, Margaret Champion and Valerie Gallant, brother Jake Champion (Debra) and sister-in-law Marjorie (Garth) McCormack. Predeceased by brothers Lee, Kenneth, Francis and Robert Champion, sister Marion Champion, and brothers-in-law Hollis Graham, Edward Champion and Bob Stewart. Resting at the Davison Funeral Home Kensington, no visitation by personal request. A public funeral service will be held Friday in the Davison Funeral Home Chapel at 11 a.m. Interment in People’s Cemetery Malpeque.
