Welcomed into Heaven, into the arms of her husband and best friend of 71 years David (deceased May 5, 2018). Terry Goodridge passed peacefully away at her home in Renews, surrounded by the love of her family on January 21, 2019 in her 88th year. Dearly loved mother of Fred (Patsy) and Gerald (Mary), proud grandmother of Kim (Mike), Freddie (Tracy) and Darryl, cherished great-grandmother of Courtney (Mark), Mackenzie, Braeden, Cody, Colin, Kyle and Keegan, dear sister of Mary Ryan (Stan, deceased) of Chapel's Cove and sister-in-law of Wallace Goodridge of Renews. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Lovingly remembered by her dear friends Belle Devine, Marjorie and Arnold Greene, Mike and Mary Chidley, Herb and Glenda Goodridge and her neighbours "in the lane". Predeceased by parents Henry and Ellen Chidley, brother Leo, as well as her Goodridge in-laws Fred, Emily May, Zoe, Joan, Sheila, Jackie, Peter and Frederick. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were by far her greatest accomplishments. Through them she instilled the values of respect, honesty and living life to its fullest each and everyday. Terry's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Tom McGarry, Eastern Health Dialysis Unit, Dianne Conway and Annie Croft. A special thank you to the staff at Fahey's Funeral Home for their care and compassion. Visitation will take place at Fahey's Funeral Home, Fermeuse on Thursday, January 24 from 2-9 pm and Friday, January 25 from 2-9 pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday, January 26 at 11 am at Holy Apostles Church, Renews. Interment to immediately follow.
