It is with great sadness Evelyn "Jean" Fitzpatrick's family announces her passing at Saint Luke's Homes on January 25, 2019. Predeceased by her parents Revilyn Stares and Helen Jean (Bugden), brothers Henry, Robert and William "John", parents-in-law Robert and Frances (Butler) Fitzpatrick, brother-in-law Vincent Fitzpatrick and sister-in-law Jennie David. Leaving to mourn her husband of 50 years Bernard Fitzpatrick; daughter Connie Butler (John), children Jenna, Jerrett and Julia; daughter Karen Fitzpatrick, children Nicolas Skarjak and Isabella Skarjak; son Shannon; sisters-in-law Iris Stares, children Andrew (Stephanie) and Mark (Joanne Anthony), and Cicele Stares, children Joshua, John and Simon; brothers-in-law Gerard Fitzpatrick (Mary), Robert Fitzpatrick (Kim); sisters-in-law Madeline Fitzpatrick (Vincent, deceased), Sheila Hill (Brian), Roberta Coombs (Joey) and Dorothy Stoyles (Tim Higgins); numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and special cousin Janet Bull. A very special thanks to all the personnel at Saint Luke's Homes who gave Jean an enormous amount of compassionate care and comfort over the past eight years. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Pendergast's Funeral Home, Bell Island. Visitation on Tuesday, January 29 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm and Wednesday, January 30 from 11 am - 1:30 pm. Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, Bell Island at 2 pm. As expressions of sympathy, flowers greatly accepted or donations in Jean's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice and/or Saint Luke's Homes, 24 Road Deluxe, St. John's, NL, A1E 5Z3.
