Peacefully at the Garden Home on Thursday, January 24, 2019 of George Abou Rashed of Charlottetown, age 83 years. Beloved husband of Sandra (nee Hooley) Abou Rashed and the late Daad (nee Yammine) Abou Rashed; dear father of Peter and Edward Abou Rashed; stepdaughter Sara (Craig) Townsend. Son of the late Dahood "David" and Lutfa (Abou Nasser) Abou Rashed. He is also survived by brothers and sisters, Emily (Philip) Nasrallah-deceased, Labeeb (Jean) Abou Rashed, Elias "Louie" (Faida) Abou Rashed, Laura (Abe) Zakem, Souhail "Cy" (Amal) Abou Rashed; the Yammine and Abdallah families and numerous nieces and nephews. Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home until Friday, then transferred to the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer for Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Interment later in the family plot in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown. Visiting hours at the funeral home on Thursday from 2 - 4 & 6 - 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of PEI or the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation.
