Passed peacefully away at her residence on Friday, February 1, 2019, in the presence of her loving family. Predeceased by her parents Hayward & Susie Sheppard of Harbour Grace South; brothers Reginald (Grace) Sheppard and Leslie Sheppard; sisters: Betty (Rev. Gordon) Ethridge, and Carrie Sheppard; father & mother-in-law Benjamin & Gertrude Hillier; and brother-in-law Joseph Thoms. Left with fond and loving memories her loving husband Wilfred Clyde; daughter Karen (Scott) Parsons; 2 grandchildren Olivia & Ian who she loved dearly; sister Winnie Thoms; sister-in-law Mary Sheppard; brother-in-law Roland (Florence) Hillier; sister-in-law Lorraine Hillier (Peter); life-long friends Florence & Roy Winsor, and Cammie (Fred-deceased) Bishop; also a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl, on Saturday, February 2nd, from 7-9 pm; Sunday, February 3rd, from 2-5 pm, and 7-9 pm; and on Monday, February 4th, from 10 am – 12 pm. Funeral service will be from First United Church, Park Avenue, Mount Pearl, on Monday at 1 pm. Interment to follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
