Peacefully, surrounded by family, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 of Marie Rosabelle (nee Doucette) O’Brien of Charlottetown, age 87 years. Beloved wife of the late A. Zeno O’Brien and dear mother of Michael O’Brien, Charlottetown, Jean (Andrew) Louis, Ottawa, Louis (Betsy) O’Brien, York, Anne Arsenault, Charlottetown, Kevin (Ellie Reddin) O’Brien, Cornwall, PE, Justin (Tiny) O’Brien, Charlottetown and Mary O’Brien, Charlottetown; sisters and brothers, Dorothy (Maurice Cornect) Ward, William "Billy" Doucette, Joan (Paul) Comeau and Paul (Linda) Doucette; sisters-in-law Sr. Mary O’Brien CSJ, Bernetta (the late John Archie) Rankin; brother-in-law, Norman Nickerson; numerous nieces and nephews. Loving grandmother of 17 grandchildren, Nathan, Stephen, Christa, Patricia, Anthony, Marie, Maria, Veronica, Katrina, Rebecca, Myndi, Adriel, Andrew, Rachel, Ryan, Julia, and Glenda, and 25 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents Wallace and Willetta (nee Amirault) Doucette; son, John Gerard O’Brien; brothers and sisters Wallace Doucette Junior, Harold Doucette, Eileen Doucette and Marilyn Nickerson. Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home until Saturday morning, then transferred to the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer for funeral mass at 10 a.m. A private family interment will take place later in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown. Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 4 - 7 p.m. If so desired, memorials may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society or the Upper Room Hospitality Ministry.
