The family of Delores Janes (nee MacKenzie), age 69, are deeply saddened to announce her passing on Feb. 12, 2019.
Delores was the daughter of Peter & Anastasia MacKenzie formerly of Coady St., Sydney, NS.
Delores is survived by her husband, George; son, Martin (Karen); son, Andrew (Liv) and granddaughter, Sonja; all are located in B.C. Delores is also survived by her brothers, Peter (Deanna) Sydney, John & Archie, Ottawa and George, Toronto; sisters, Geraldine, Vancouver, Pauline (Richard), Riverview, NB, and numerous friends all across Canada, and our Wembley Clinic family here in Parksville.
Delores’s earthly journey has ended, and she is in the embrace of her savior. Delores has a good life full of love, laughter, travel and happiness, she was a wonderful mother and wife, a kind and gentle woman full of love and fierce devotion. We are all thankful for her presence in our lives, she filled our hearts with love and memories. Her kiss was equivalent to being engulfed by a brilliant burst of sunshine. It truly was a privilege and honor to have this eloquent lady and dazzling beautiful Cape Breton treasure beside me these past 48 years. We pray that My Girl’s soul rests in peace.
