With great sadness we announce the passing of Robert “Bob” Hollett on Friday, February 22, 2019 at the Health Sciences Complex, age 85 years. Predeceased by parents, Alice and Samuel Hollett; and brother, Dave Hollett. Leaving to mourn his dearly loved wife of 60 years, Jessie; son, Grant Hollett (Madeline); daughter, Lesli (Stephen Knapp); grandchildren: Ethan, Cassandra and Cooper Knapp; sisters-in-law: Bessie Hollett, Mildred Cousens (Gord), Carol Head (Herb) and Lynn Gillard (Dave); brothers-in-law: Eldon Drodge, Glenn Drodge (Janice) and Fred Benson; also special cousin, Harold Hollett (Lorraine) and special Aunt Louise Rodrigue, as well as many nieces, nephews, and a very wide circle of friends, not forgetting his beloved cat, Jacob. Bob was a long-time member of the Church Lads Brigade Battalion Band, a member of the Mazol Shriners Band, and a member of Wesley United Church Male Choir. Visitation will take place at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Monday, February 25 and Tuesday, February 26, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at Wesley United Church at 2:00pm. Interment to take place at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in Bob’s memory may be made to the CLB Band or to the SPCA (he was a great lover of animals). Bob will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered for his fantastic enthusiasm for life, and his dedication to family and everything in which he was involved.
