The death occurred peacefully, surrounded by her family, at Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Thursday, February 21, 2019 of Juanita Cora (Walfield) DesRoches of Ellerslie, aged 73, loving wife of Fred DesRoches. Born on August 29, 1945 in Ellerslie, daughter of the late Layton & Sadie (Wright) Walfield. Loving Mother to Tanya (Wade) DesRoches, Pam DesRoches, Kathy DesRoches (Trent Paynter), Kim (Chris) Crozier. Special grandmother to Amanda, Kyle, Sarah Jean, Ethan, Brandon, Kati, Keenen and Zoe. Great grandmother to Jaxon, Ellie, Emma and Lennon. Juanita is also survived by brothers and sister Billy (Mae) Walfield, Linda (Wade) Pike, Wade Walfield (Cheryl Hutchinson), sisters and brothers in law to Ruth Walfield, Judy Walfield, Linda Walfield, Sharon Hutchinson, Nettie DesRoches, Wanda Gaudet, Abby (Arlene) DesRoches, Jackie DesRoches, Hubert (Gail) Desroches and Darryl (Noonie) DesRoches. Juanita was predeceased by her parents, granddaughter Chantel DeRoches, brothers Ronnie, Donnie, Wayne, Myles and sister in law Kathleen. Resting at Ferguson Tyne Valley Funeral Chapel, with visiting hours on Saturday, from 6-8 p.m. Funeral will be held on Sunday at 2:00 pm in the chapel.
