Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on August 31, 2009, at the age of 79. Predeceased by his parents George and Mariam Cooper; daughter Peggy Hayward; brothers: Harvey and Thomas Cooper. Leaving to mourn are his loving wife of 55 years Cynthia; sons: Tony (Debbie) and Terry (Michelle); grandchildren: Sam, Katee, Scott (Ann), Joseph (Pam) and Connie Drover (Jim); and great-grandchildren: Lucille, Ashley, and Steven; brothers: Ralph (Sandra) Cooper and Byron (Mona) Cooper; sisters: Olive (Roland) Sheppard, Winnie (Reg) Smith, Norrie Latimer and Ruby Switzer; son-in-law Con Hayward; sister-in-law Betty Cooper; as well as many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave., on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2009 at 2 p.m from Barrett’s Chapel with interment to follow at Mt.
