It is with our deepest sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Rubie Crewe (Snow), 63, on February 22, 2019 surrounded by her family after her courageous battle with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis/Lou Gehrig's disease). Rubie was our Guardian Angel on Earth; now she is at peace, watching over us in Heaven.
Rubie is lovingly remembered and cherished by her devoted husband of 38 years, Reg, and two daughters: Amanda Crewe (Hart Stones) and Ashley Coolen (Rob); Rubie will be forever missed by her beloved granddaughters: Mackinley and Daniella; her parents Jim and Valetta Snow; sisters Debra Lynch (Darryl) and Shirley Goodyear (Ben); brother Jim Snow (Isabel); and all her nieces and nephews.
Rubie was born and raised in Stephenville, NL. In 1978, she planted her roots in Fort McMurray, AB-- where she lived for 30 years, meeting and marrying the love of her life and together raising their two girls.
In 2009, Reg and Rubie retired and spent a handful of years in St. Stephen, NB, before moving to the Okanagan, BC in 2014.
We are all so grateful for our wonderful memories and a lifetime full of love and laughter spent with Rubie. Her greatest lesson to us all was to: "always show your heart" whenever you find yourself in a conflict. Rubie believed kindness and vulnerability are the corner stones of living an authentic life. Rubie has left a huge imprint on all our hearts and will be remembered forever.
There will be a private celebration of life. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Rubie's honour to the Moog & Friends Hospice House or ALS Society of BC.
