FRENCH, Christopher Charles Gordon “Chris”, Age 45 of Tremont, passed away suddenly at home on Friday, February 22, 2019. Chris was the son of Charles E. French of South Farmington and the late Susan French. Chris was a kind, selfless man of few words who lived for his family and took pride in providing everything he could for them. He found joy and comfort in arranging and composing music for those he loved. This passion started when he was a band student himself at Middleton Regional High School and would lead to his establishing of the MRHS brass ensembles and his years of participation in the Annapolis Big Band. Through this, Chris was able to create and continue relationships that otherwise may not have been possible due to his relentless dedication to his family and work. He was a long time, dedicated employee of the Wade Family Enterprises. When he wasn’t occupied by work or music, Chris deeply enjoyed the outdoors where he would spend time working on his property, hauling logs out of the woods to heat his home and provide lumber for the countless renovations that he devoted his time to accomplish. He is survived by his loving wife of 21 years and high school sweetheart the former Tanya Oickle; their children, Eathan, Nethanael, Elyias, Wyatte, Emmett, Crimsyn and Emmilyn; father, Charles; step mother, Judy; sisters, Tracy and Crystal; mother-in-law Rose Oickle; and brother-in-law, Scott Oickle; several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his mother, Susan (Venner) French; and father-in-law, Arnold Oickle. A Celebration of Life followed by a reception took place at 2 p.m., Thursday, February 28, Middleton Baptist Church, 111 Commercial St., Middleton.
