Ronald (Ronnie) Christopher Carey, 66, of Renews, passed peacefully away at the comfort of St. Luke’s Home surrounded by his family on February 28, 2019. He leaves behind to mourn his son Loyola (Khyla), daughter Tanya Kenny (Bernard), grandchildren Charlotte, Brock, and Gabriel who were his whole world. Brothers Thomas (Roz), Harry (Donna), Alban (Maria), Lawrence (Doreen), and Wish (Carolyn), sisters Isabelle (Lar), Anne (Ted), and Mary (Wilfred) and many loving nieces, nephews and extended family. Ronnie was a loving father, husband, grandfather, friend, and handyman to anyone that asked. Ronnie is predeceased by his wife Denise of 45 years, father and mother Lawrence and Caroline Carey, his sister Bridget Doyle and now they are together once again. A special thank you to the staff at St. Luke’s for their loving care and support during the past months and his final days. Visitation will be Saturday March 2 from 2:00 until 9:00 PM at Ryan’s Funeral Home Bay Bulls, and Sunday March 3 from 2:00 until 9:00 PM at Fahey’s Funeral Home Fermeuse. Funeral services for Ronnie will be Monday March 4 at 11:00 am at Holy Apostle’s Catholic Church in Renews. Cremation to follow. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Holy Apostle’s Church Fund.
