Passed peacefully away on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital after a short illness at the beautiful age of 95 (affectionately known as Aunt Mooie). Predeceased by her parents, Patrick and Mary Jane Corbett; brothers Patrick, Jack and Jim; sisters Elizabeth Manuel, Nora Walsh, Molly Sharpe, Madeline Jackman, Stella Flight and Bernice Kenny; nephews Paul Flight and Basil Sharpe. Leaving to mourn special niece Janet Flight- McGrath (who was like a daughter to her); nephews and nieces from the Flight family, Wayne, Douglas, Glen, Carol Ann and Brenda; also nieces Sheila Pendergast and Marlene Holden as well as other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Special mention to her friends at Kelly Brook Apartments, especially Kay Pendergast, and her home care work Karen Murphy. Very special thank you to all the staff of 5 East St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital especially Dr. Harrington and the professional and dedicated nurses. She thought you were all wonderful. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home LeMarchant Road on Sunday from 1 p.m. – 9 p.m. Funeral Service to take place from Caul’s Chapel on Monday, March 4, 2019 at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Community Food Bank Sharing Association or a charity of one’s choice.
