Passed peacefully away surrounded by her family at the Palliative Care Unit of the L.A. Miller Centre on Thursday, February 28, 2019. Alice Dean was predeceased by her parents William and Mary Ann Dean; brothers and sisters Philomena McKay (George), Mary Dwyer (Jim), Tess Grace (Gerard), Leo Dean, Jim Walsh, Barbara Dean, Margaret Dean and Frances Dean and her foster-child Maggie Smith. Alice dedicated her 77 years to caring for others and loving her family. She leaves behind with fond and loving memories, her son Keith Grouchy (Alicia) and her grandson Blair Grouchy (Karen) whom she raised, and who’s life was moulded by her loving influence. Alice also leaves her brothers Aloysius Dean (Joan) and Bill Dean (Madeline); sister-in-law Marie and her cousin Theresa Harding. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Cremation has taken place. Visitation on Monday, March 4th from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. A private, graveside service will take place at a later date. Flowers are gratefully accepted or donations in Alice’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
