We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our dear father, grandfather, great-grandfather, Gus Taylor, age 85 of Kelligrews. He passed peacefully away surrounded by his loving family at the Caribou Memorial Veterans Pavilion, St. John's, March 2, 2019. Predeceased by his parents Eli and Louise Taylor, his wife Doris, sons Danny and Stephen, daughter-in-law Gail, granddaughter Wandaleigh and brother Bill. Leaving to mourn with heavy hearts, sons Heber, Gus Jr. and David (Denise), daughter Diane (Gary), sisters Emily, Effie, Debbie and Doreen, brother Bob and brother-in-law George and a large circle of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces and close friends. We would like to express our deepest gratitude to the staff at VP2 for their care and compassion over the past two years. Cremation has taken place. Visitation in the James J. Hickey Memorial Funeral Home, Kelligrews on Tuesday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will take place from the Salvation Army CBS Corps, Long Pond on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at 2 pm.
