Passed peacefully away while in the presence of his loving family, at St. Luke’s Nursing Home, St. John’s, Aloysius “Al” Daley of St. Joseph’s, St. Mary’s Bay, aged 88 years. He is now reunited with his loving wife Laura (2007) and son Randy (2011). He is also predeceased by his parents Charles and Lucy Daley, brothers: John (Anne), Alban (Catherine) and Charlie (Norah) and sisters: Clo (Dick), Edna (Maurice) and Mercedes (John). Leaving to mourn his loss are his children: Ken, Donna (Derm) Hearn, Roy (Wanda) and Chris (Cauleen), daughter-in-law Jennifer Bouzane, grandchildren: Stephanie (Nick), Allison (Ryan), Laurie (Andrew), Justin (Melissa), Cheryl (Tyler), Brittany, Emily, Ethan, Tyson and Lauren, great-granddaughters Addison and Lylah, sister Marion Kenny, special in-laws Michael (Patricia) Butland and Mildred Butland and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. A special thank you is extended to St. Luke’s Nursing Home, where he was residing and to Lion’s Manor Nursing Home, Admiral’s Coast Retirement Centre and Lewis’ Personal Care Home. The kindness and care he received brought great comfort to our family. Dad loved Mom dearly and taught us all the importance of family and faith. He worked many jobs including school bus operator and was most affectionately regarded in his role as kindergarten bus driver, “Mr. Al”. To family members, neighbors and anyone in need he was there to do whatever he could to help brighten their day. Resting at Enright Memorial Chapel, St. Joseph’s (Church) on Monday, March 4 and Tuesday, March 5, from 3-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, March 6, at 10 am, at St. Joseph’s Church. Interment to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, O’Donnells. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to Good Shepherd Parish (P.O. Box 30, St. Joseph’s, NL, A0B 3A0).
