Smithfield, formerly of Thorburn, passed away on March 4, 2019 in St. Mary’s Hospital, Sherbrooke. Lillian was born on June 5, 1935, daughter of the late Margaret (Gerrior) and Clarence Earle. She is survived by her husband Kenneth; son, Kenneth (Stella); grandson, Michael Trefry, Trenton; son -in -law, Jim McKinnon, sister-in-law, Claire (Ralph)Foote. Lillian was predeceased by her daughter, Sherrie McKinnon and sister, Peggy Roach. There will be no visitation or service as she requested. A sincere thank you to Lillian’s care giver, Emily Parsons, for her kindness and compassion to Lillian, also to Donna Sarson, a special friend and nurse. Donations in Lillian’s memory can be made to the S.P.C.A. Arrangements are under the direction of McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou.
