Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre on Monday, March 4th, 2019 surrounded by her loving family, Ella Walsh (nee Swain) of Calvert in her 91st year. Predeceased by her husband Leo, son-in-law Tommy Reddy, her parents Jack and Evelyn Swain, brothers Peter, Aiden, Alfred and sisters Dorothy and Gen. Left to celebrate her life are her children; Paula (Tom), Wayne (Charlotte), Sandra, Father Gary, Father Kenneth, Billy (Sharon), Debbie, Karen (Bill), Tracy & loyal canine companion Tobey. Grandchildren; Stephanie, Jennifer, Jessica, Tina, Chris, Peggy, Leroy, Scott, Paul, Garry, Sarah, Brittany, Olivia, Hailey, Christopher, Katie, Erika, Alexa, Samantha, Brandon, and 17 great-grandchildren; also her brother Reg Swain (Margie), sisters Marie Sullivan and Betty (Phonse Butler), sisters-in-law Madonna Swain, Betty Swain, Carmel Swain and Uriel Murphy; special nephew Kevin Walsh (Diane) and niece Linda Boland (Thomas), Catherine Hagan her faithful visitor, and her dedicated caregivers Virginia Pennell, Lillian Payne, and Betty Hawkins along with a large circle of relatives and friends. Special thanks to her dedicated nurse Michelle Rossiter, and the compassionate staff of 4 South A at the Health Sciences Centre for their exemplary care and professionalism. Resting at Fahey’s Funeral Home Fermeuse on Wednesday March 6 & Thursday March 7 from 2-9pm. Mass of Christian burial at Immaculate Conception Church, Calvert on March 8th @12:00 noon. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Calvert Church & Hall Committee or NL Diabetes Assoc.

The gates of heaven have opened for a woman who opened her heart and home to so many. May the angels take her home to peace!
