It is with heavy hearts that we the family announce the passing of Janette Seymour on March 14, 2019 at Taigh Na Mara surrounded by her family.
Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Agnes Osmond.
She enjoyed dancing, listening to music and spending time with family and friends. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Janette is survived by her children, Arlene Dunwoody, Bernie (Joyce) Seymour, Billy Seymour, Dolly (Reg) Tracey, Ann Marie (Richard) Shipley, Wayne Seymour, Patricia (Paul) Fitzgerald, Lynn Seymour, and Hilda (Ladd) Cabassa; many grand and great grandchildren; best friend, Cecelia MacDonald, Taigh Na Mara, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sons, Clifford Seymour Sr. and Stephen Seymour; sons-in-law, Gordon Storegan and George Dunwoody.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held Monday, March 18, 2019 from 12-2 p.m. with a memorial service to follow at 2 p.m. with Fr. Duaine Devereaux officiating at T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay, NS (902-849-4199)
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or CNIB.
The family would like to thank the staff, nurses and doctors at Taigh Na Mara for all their care and support given to our mother.
