Thomas Allan Clarke
We, the family, are sad to announce the sudden passing of our husband, father, grandfather-to-be, Thomas Allan Clarke, age 69 of Sydney, formerly of Amherst, on March 24, 2019, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
He was the son of Russell and the late Barbara Clarke.
He was a member of the Sydney Masonic Lodge #84 where he served as Past Master, and he was Past District Deputy Grand Master of Cape Breton Centre district. He was very proud of his 3 generations of Masonary legacy.
Tom met and married the love of his life Angela in England, they then came back to Canada where they began their family, settling in Cape Breton to raise Alexandra and Anthony. Tom retired from a long career in finance 2 years ago, giving him the opportunity for his favourite pastime, golf.
He is survived by his wife, Angela (Luckett) Clarke; daughter, Alexandra Clarke; son, Anthony (Amy) Clarke; sisters, Christine MacNeil, Leslie Clarke and grandson-to-be and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his mother Barbara Clarke.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, March 28 from 2-4 & 7 -9 p.m. at T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel. A Masonic service will be held at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. Funeral service will take place on Friday, March 29 at 2 p.m. at T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel with Rev. Stephen Mills officiating. Interment will take place at a later date. Donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
