Gerard “Junior” MacNeil
The family of the late Gerard “Junior” MacNeil, of Sydney, wishes to acknowledge the many expressions of sympathy and gestures of kindness shown to us following our sad loss. We offer our heartfelt thanks to the many friends, neighbours and well-wishers who sent food and visited at home, in hospital, attended the wake and Funeral Mass. For those who telephoned, travelled long distance, sent floral tributes, cards and messaged of condolences, as well as those who made donations, we are truly grateful. A special word of thanks to the Palliative Care and the Cancer Unit for their kindness. Thank you to Fr. Dennis Lamey who celebrated the Mass and to all who participated in the various ministries. A special thank you to Donnie Campbell for the beautiful music and to Gordie MacDougall for the heartfelt eulogy. Gerard would have been so proud for these expressions of love. We like to thank Rose Conohan for the wonderful luncheon and the Pier Community Funeral Home for the handling of the arrangements.
To Harold Youden, Timmy MacCormack, Sherri Trask and Walley Hines for all their love, work and support for Gerard. For those who helped in any way, your contribution made our loss more bearable.
Gerard will always be remembered for his positive attitude, warm smile and that twinkle in his eye.
