FINN, Derek Michael (Dick) – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Derek Finn (Dick) on May 19, 2011, after a battle with pancreatic cancer, in the presence of his family, at High River Hospital, Alberta, age 57 years. Derek leaves with fond and loving memories his wife of 38 years, Charlotte and his two daughters: Tammy (Dennis), Shannon (Jason) and his precious granddaughter Morgan. He also leaves to mourn his mother Gemma (Frank); his five brothers: Bob (Lillian), David (Pat), Peter (Pandora), Wayne (Crystal), Jeff (Lorena) and his four sisters: Ruth (Tony), Olive (Wade), Tina (Karen), Jackie (Sean) and many nieces and nephews. Derek is predeceased by his beloved parents Henry and Ruth Finn. Derek is the most courageous person we have ever known. We would like to express much gratitude to the wonderful 3rd floor staff of High River Hospital, Alberta, who did so much to make Derek comfortable and showed so much compassion. Cremation has taken place and a mass for Derek will be held July 7 at St. Theresa’s Church, Mundy Pond Road at 2:00 p.m.
