Passed peacefully away in the comfort of his home surrounded by the love of his family and dearest friends, Kenneth A. Tobin. Predeceased by his parents Albert and Margaret Tobin, brother Jim, and his in-laws Charles and Betty Whalen. Left with many wonderful loving memories are his wife and best friend Tish (Whalen), his treasured children Christopher Tobin (Andrea), and Ashley Rose (Tyler), and Papa Ken’s pride and joy grandchildren Grace Catherine Tobin and Parker Kenneth Rose. Also left to mourn his sister Veronica Leonard (Michael), brothers Gordon (Mildred), Albert (Karen), Desmond (Lois), Phil (Diane), Blaine and sister-in-law Geraldine. Also left with happy memories sisters-in-law Cathy Levesque (David), Jeanette Boutilier (Doug), and Charlene Pike (Gord) along with many cherished nieces and nephews especially Kerry Kidney and Jacqueline Dunsmore. Ken will be missed by his colleagues in the Insurance Industry, as well as an extended circle of family and friends from home and away with special thoughts of Joy and Gary Dalton. We would like to extend our appreciation and thanks to the staff of the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre, especially Dr. Ahmad and Dr. Thoms for going above and beyond. We can’t forget the incredible nursing staff in the chemo suite for the compassion shown to Ken during his many visits. Extra special thanks to Aunt Char, for her nursing expertise and loving care shown to Ken over the past few days. Ken will be resting at Caul’s Funeral Home on LeMarchant Road on Monday, April 8th, and Tuesday, April 9th, from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday, April 10th at 9:30 a.m. from St. Teresa’s Roman Catholic Church. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in Ken’s memory may be made to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Centre. Ken was proud to have grown up in Oderin, Placentia Bay with his brothers and sister. Ken was an athlete, coach, friend, and mentor to many but his greatest achievement was that as Papa.
