New Glasgow - Julia Chafic Tannous, age 69, of New Glasgow, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2019, in the QEII Infirmary, Halifax. Born in Zahleh, Lebanon, she was a daughter of the late Chafic and Wadiaa (Lattouf) El Rassi. She was a member of Saint John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband, Chamel Tannous; daughters: Rita Tannous; Patricia (Fred) El Haddad; Rania (Troy) MacInnis; son, Boutros “Pierre” Tannous; 6 grandchildren; 2 brothers and 5 sisters. Visitation 11am – 1pm, Friday, April 12, in the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, 55 Almont Ave., New Glasgow, followed by a Funeral Mass at 1:30pm Friday, in Saint John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, New Glasgow, with Father Tom MacNeil officiating.
