The death occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Thursday, May 16, 2019 of Verna Jean MacKinnon of Charlottetown, formerly of Montague, age 66 years. Fiancé of John Higgins. Beloved mother of Angela (David) Knox and Lisa (Dale) Knox. Nanny to Kyle, Justin and Colton. Sister of Janice O’Hearn, Brent (Jessie) MacKinnon and Eldon MacKinnon. Survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Charles Knox, parents Miles and Mary (Nicholson) MacKinnon and brother Willard. Resting at MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel from where the funeral will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. Interment later in Lower Montague Cemetery.
