Blaise Joseph Doran

Blaise Joseph Doran

An avid and talented musician, who loved singing, playing guitar, and whose passion was music. He was the driving force behind numerous musical projects and bands over the years, including his finest accomplishment, Avalon Road.
Blaise was born and raised in Sydney, Cape Breton, (October 6, 1964) and moved as a young man, to go study politics, and current affairs. He had a successful career as a financial planner for many years.
He took great pride and joy in his beloved son, Seamus.
His family will remember him as a man with a keen sense of humour, who loved to laugh and took great joy in making others laugh. He was smart, always with a quick-witted joke on hand, making him a very fun man to be around.
His family and those who loved him wish him great peace in his final rest.
The family wishes for there to be no formal service, and a celebration of Blaise's life will be held between 6-8 p.m. at the home of his eldest brother, James and Paula Doran's home on Friday May 24th at 9 Wembley Place, Halifax, NS.
Blaise is survived by his son, Seamus Nelma, NFLD; his siblings, Joanne, James and Paula (spouse), Terence, Eileen, Lisa, Halifax and David, Sydney, CB.
Blaise is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Nik, Delaine, Cheryl, Carlin, Katie, David, Kenny, Tyrel, Alexandra, Rebecca, Michael, Emily, Sinead, Augustus, Avery and Noah.
Predeceased by parents James and Elizabeth (Betty Doran).
