Patricia Lynn ‘Patti’ Edwards

With broken hearts, we announce the passing of Patricia Lynn ‘Patti’ Edwards, 60, of Sydney Mines, on Saturday, May 25, 2019, at the Northside General Hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer. Patti was born December 23, 1958; the daughter of Jean Edwards and the late Clarence Edwards.
She worked at McDonalds Restaurants in Sydney and North Sydney for almost 40 years and made many close and dear friends; both colleagues and customers.
Patti was well known for her bubbly personality, her love for everyone and her attendance at community events throughout Cape Breton.
Patti is survived by her mother, Jean; brother, Bob (Norma); son, Jason (Martina), and grandson, Landon.
There will be a visitation at J.M Jobes Funeral Home in Sydney Mines on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 from 7-9 p.m. A memorial service will be held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 3 Queen St., Sydney Mines on Wednesday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Marion Barclay MacKay officiating. A reception will follow in the church.
A private interment will take place in Brookside Cemetery at a later date.
