Oct. 19th, 1925 - May 31st, 2019 The death occurred peacefully surrounded by her family at the South Shore Villa on Friday, May 31st, 2019, of Marion Ellen Howatt, aged 93 years. Marion's true passions were spending time with her family and living with her dear late husband Sheldon E. Howatt on their family farm in Tryon. She was the daughter of the late Fred and Nellie (Fell) Leard. Survived by her two children Vicki (David) Francis and Scott Howatt (Priscilla Giroux); her eight grandchildren, Jessica (Steven) Reeves, Chelsea (Paul) Feehan, Brett (Keshia) Francis, Mallory (Kirk) MacKinnon, Cameron Francis, Todd Howatt, Jenny Shea Howatt, Elsa Mae Howatt, and her nine great grandchildren, Luke, Bella Mae, Lyla, Nash, Helene, Florence, Felix, Nate, and Molly. Marion will be missed by her many nieces and nephews and special lifetime friends. Predeceased by her sisters Florence (Sheldon) Dixon, Ethel (Archie) Thomson, Cicely (Leith) Stordy, Jessie (Eric) Craig and young siblings Edward and Alice Leard. Marion will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. By personal request there will be no visitation. Funeral service on Tuesday, June 4th, at the South Shore United Church, Tryon, at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the South Shore United Church or the PCH Foundation would be appreciated.
