The death occurred at the Dr. John Gillis Memorial Lodge on Thursday, June 6, 2019 of Helen J. Crane (MacKinnon) formerly of Vernon Bridge, age 77 years. Beloved mother of Sterling (Kathy), Trent (Anne) and Tracey Crane. Grandmother of Melissa Drover (Matt), Calvin Crane (Ashley), Kerri Blackett (James), Raelynn Crane (Spencer Smith) and Grant Vessey (Lori). Great-grandmother of Brayden, Oliver, Grayson, Ella, Levi, Adaya, Madelyn and Katie. Sister of Mary Stewart (Murray), John MacKinnon (Winnie), Keith MacKinnon (Paula), Margie Gallant (Brian) and sister-in-law of Bobby Crane, Betty MacEachern and Gary Crane. Survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Clifford "Buddy" Crane, son - Trevor (infancy), sister - Anne Glover, parents - Neil and Jessie MacKinnon, parents-in-law - Ted and Myrtle Crane, brother-in-law - Inglis MacEachern and sisters-in-law Myrna Moreside (Barry), Elspeth Crane and Valerie Crane. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford for visitation on Sunday from 2-4 pm. Funeral service will be from the Hillsboro Funeral Home - Stratford Chapel on Monday at 10:30 a.m. Interment in Belfast Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Queens County Residential Services.
