At the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Saturday, June 22, 2019 of Mary Ellen Long, Charlottetown, age 97 years. Dear mother of Ann Wedge, David and James (Hiromi). Lovingly remembered by her numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandson. Sister of Mark Thistle (Betty). Sister-in-law of Sylvia Thistle and Ginny Thistle. Predeceased by her husband John “Jack” Long, by her parents James and Mary (Arsenault) Thistle, by her children Joseph Patrick Long (Linda Williams), John Long and by her siblings John (Evelyn), Claude, Joseph, Lillian Quevillian (Luc) and Cecilia “Sis” Dowling (Leo). Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home until Wednesday at 1:00 pm, then to St. Dunstan’s Basilica for funeral mass at 1:30 pm. Interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown.
