It is with heavy hearts, that the family of Janice Mary Arsenault of Umatilla, Oregon, USA and formerly of St-Chrysostome, PEI, wish to announce her sudden passing on Monday, June 17, 2019 at the age of 44 years. Janice was born July 25, 1974 to her parents Gavin (deceased) and Irene Arsenault of St-Raphael. She is survived by her loving children Kelsie Arsenault (Joel Riley), Haley Dudley, Canion Dudley and Christopher Remakel and by her brothers and sisters Daniel, Paulette (Daren Dufloth), Richard and Colette (René Arsenault). She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by her father Gavin Arsenault and grandparents Albin and Béatrice Arsenault, and Donat and Madeleine Arsenault. Janice was an avid community member. She was a volunteer firefighter at the Umatilla Rural Fire Department, where she was a Wildland Firefighter Type 2, EMT Basic, and Driver Operator. Additionally, Janice would regularly volunteer for various charity events in the community and was always willing to lend a helping hand with a big smile on her face. Janice worked full time as an office specialist at Blue Mountain Community College, where she was known for keeping up morale and motivating students. In Janice’s spare time, she enjoyed riding her Harley Davidson motorcycle, as well as singing, playing the fiddle, bedazzling everything and anything, and having fun with dear family and friends. Anything Janice did, she always gave 110%. Janice would always follow her heart no matter where that took her, and she loved as big as the personality she had. A Celebration of Her Life was held on June 29th, 2019, at Hermiston High School in Hermiston, OR. Resting at the Évangéline Co-op Funeral Home, Urbainville, until Friday, July 19, 2019, then to the Notre-Dame-du-Mont-Carmel Church, Mont-Carmel for funeral mass at 4:00 p.m. Interment will be in the Saint-Philippe et Saint-Jacques Church cemetery followed by a Celebration of Life at Le Village musical acadien, Abram-Village, at 9 p.m. for family, relatives and close friends. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, July 18th from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2:30 p.m. until time of departure for funeral. Memorial donations in Janice's memory made to the Wellington Fire Department or to Le Chez-Nous or to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
