JOHN CLARENCE LETHBRIDGE
July 30, 1923 – June 10, 2011
Clare died peacefully in his sleep the morning of June 10, 2011. He was 87 years old. The youngest of John T. and Florence (nee Urquhart), he is predeceased by his parents; sister Jean and brother William. Clare is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Edna; daughter Linda; sons Ross, John (Trish) Tasmania; grandchildren, Harrison and Hannah, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and a few greats. Born in Glencoe, Ontario, he attended public school education there. He obtained his BA from Western and Theology from Queen’s Universities. Clare was ordained by the United Church in 1951 and came west. He served Pastoral charges in Morse, Ernfold, Herbert and Chaplin before moving to Calgary, Moose Jaw and finally Regina where he retired in 1988. Clare will be missed by all for his wisdom, kindness, and laughter. The family wishes to thank staff in Emergency, CCU, 3-F and 3-E for their care and patience of Clare during his hospitalizations. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of choice.
